Job Description

A large, nationally recognized, full-service law firm with offices across multiple major U.S. markets is seeking a Product Liability / Mass Tort Paralegal to join its St. Louis office. The firm supports a nationally respected litigation practice and offers a collaborative, inclusive, and fast-paced environment grounded in integrity, innovation, and excellence.

This role is ideal for an experienced litigation paralegal who provides advanced, full-cycle support and thrives managing complex cases with minimal supervision. The position reports to the Senior Manager of Practice Support Services and functions as an integral member of the litigation team from case inception through trial.

After an initial training period, the position offers a hybrid work schedule.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with attorneys, clients, and internal teams throughout all phases of litigation, including trial preparation and trial support
  • Draft and review discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, notices, pleadings, and other court filings
  • Summarize deposition transcripts and medical records
  • Conduct document reviews and prepare productions
  • Identify, collect, and organize factual evidence, including deposition outlines, witness materials, and trial exhibits
  • Draft, cite-check, proofread pleadings, motions, correspondence, and supporting documentation
  • Create and maintain organizational systems for case files and materials
  • Assist with database creation, data entry, searches, and report generation
  • Operate and support trial presentation technology

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to provide high-level litigation support through all phases of a case
  • Exceptional professionalism and discretion with strict adherence to confidentiality
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including advanced legal drafting and proofreading ability
  • Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with sound judgment
  • Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to work overtime or travel as needed

Experience & Education

  • Associate's Degree (or higher) or Paralegal Certification required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Substantial equivalent experience in Product Liability or Mass Tort litigation may be considered in lieu of formal education
  • Relevant legal experience in another capacity may be credited toward qualification

Compensation

$70,000 - $105,000, dependent on experience
